Travel Tips:
Until the end of February, the Swiss climate is very typical with early morning fog, rain- or snowfall & sometimes clear sky with sun shining through. On Mountain Peaks you find yourself very often in a nice sunny weather so you can enjoy the unbelievable panoramic view above the clouds. Altough the air is very cold on peaks, due to the high altitude you feel quite warm when the sun is shining. Cold winds can be felt through all the day, whether you stay in a city or in Mountain areas. Cities may even feel cooler, if there is foggy weather you may not see the sun all day. It’s wintertime and the climate is sometimes unfriendly, but the most beautiful sight is the combination between the sunlight, the clear blue sky and the light-reflecting white snow!

Until the end of April, the Swiss climate is very typical with rain fall & sometimes clear sky with sun shining through, sometimes theres still little snowfall at the beginning of March. On Mountain Tops you’ll find snow and ice. Cool winds can be felt in the city during the daytime. It gets warmer day by day and on a sunny day it can get quite warm especially in the middle of the day. The month of April has a will of its own so you never know when its going to rain. Having said the above, a full day of rain & no sunshine can make the weather quite cold.

On Mountain peaks there are no more minus temperatures, although it is still cool and sometimes windy. Little snow and ice can still be found on peaks.

Until the end of August, it is summer in Switzerland. It gets warm everyday and sometimes quite hot even. At the end of july and during the month of august almost everyday is a sunny, hot day, that is why there is often thunder and heavy rainfall at night. On Mountain peaks there are also nice temperatures, although it is sometimes windy. Ice and snow can only be found on peaks with a glacier. At night time in the cities its very comfortable and the perfect time to have an outdoor- or a terrace dinner.

Although the weather is still nice and warm most of the time, cool winds can be felt in the city especially during the evening. By the end of September it is getting cooler every week, but when the sun breaks the clouds it is infact still nice and warm. There are also many rainy days accompanied by fog. Having said the above, a full day of rain & no sunshine can make the weather quite cold. On Mountain Tops there is sometimes snowfall again.
